In pictures: The Download Festival 2024 launch party

Last night Download Festival unveiled its first wave of bands for 2024, including two brand-new headliners! Topping the bill next year we’ll see a returning Avenged Sevenfold alongside Queens Of The Stone Age and Fall Out Boy who’ll be stepping up to fabled Donington headliner status.

But Download is about more than its headliners, and the initial announcement saw more than 80 bands revealed, spanning generations and genres. The Offspring, ZULU, Sum 41, Dying Wish, While She Sleeps, Pest Control, Billy Talent, Heriot, Bad Omens, Scene Queen, Polyphia, Pinkshift… Basically, if you’ve been paying attention to the alternative scene for the past few years, Download has you covered.

And to celebrate the occasion, Download took over Phonica record store in Soho, London, for a special launch party, full of graffiti, an abundance of neon, coffins, motorbikes, dodgems and a bath full of rubber ducks!
